Things are Looking Up for the 2015 Housing Market
The amount of consumers that say that now is a good time to
buy a house was up to 68 percent in September according to a national consumer
attitudinal survey conducted by Fannie Mae. The survey also shows an increase
in consumers’ views of the economy which echoes a modestly positive trend that
they have seen over the past year and this along with the recent positive news
regarding jobs bodes well for a continued modest housing recovery in 2015.
Fannie Mae’s consumer attitudinal survey polls the adult U.S. general population
to assess their attitudes about homeownership, renting a home, the economy, and
household finances. Information obtained from this survey can provide indicators
for what we might expect the housing market to do moving
forward.
